    A course designed to provide knowledge, discussion, and expertise for those interested in Quality Management.

Who we are

Program Office for Laboratory Quality Management (POLQM) goal is to address the increasing need in Canadian and international laboratories for Laboratory Quality Managers as required by ISO15189:2022 'Medical Laboratories – Particular Requirements for Quality and Competence.'
The Certificate Course in Laboratory Quality Management (LQM) is a program within the University of British Columbia Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

POLQM updates

  • Laboratory Quality Management(LQM) 2026 program has started on January 14. The next LQM course will be available on January, 2027. Registration starts in fall.  Click here for course information.
