Who we are

Program Office for Laboratory Quality Management (POLQM) goal is to address the increasing need in Canadian and international laboratories for Laboratory Quality Managers as required by ISO15189:2022 'Medical Laboratories – Particular Requirements for Quality and Competence.'
The Certificate Course in Laboratory Quality Management (LQM) is a program within the University of British Columbia Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

We launched two new courses in 2023 and 2024

A short, on demand online course on the ISO 15189: 2022 standard and the changes has been available since February 2023. A new online, mentored course in antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Ready in January 2024.
